Harvard Place
The screened-in porch of this single-family home in Evanston was transformed into a dining room with an extended new kitchen.
The space is fully weatherized for use year-round while maintaining the breezy summer feel of the old porch. It has numerous large (screened) high efficiency windows, well-insulated floors and walls and a new roof. All light fixtures are energy efficient LED, including the downlight cans, with the type and number of bulbs being minimized for ease of maintenance. The new kitchen extends into the former dining space increasing storage, counter space, light and improving the traffic flow. All important features for the family of five who love to cook and entertain!
